Instructors

Instructors

Our College instructors are a well-trained and experienced group of educational leaders committed to program quality, student success, professional development and individual growth. As a group, our instructors celebrate student achievement and accomplishment and do everything they can to prepare our students for either advanced study or to actively pursue their career aspirations by directly entering the workforce.

Diversity in ethnicity, education and professional experience are among the core strengths of our instructor group. This diversity enables us to provide a safe, supportive and quality learning environment where an increasingly diverse, multicultural student body is taught the intellectual, professional, practical, personal and emerging technology and industry skills necessary to become both successful individuals as well as valued citizens in an increasingly complex and interconnected global society.

Our Colleges are quality-oriented and teaching focused and consequently, teaching experience is considered a vital requirement for multi-year defined term teaching appointments. The academic research supported by our Colleges supports continuous improvement in teaching methods and the realization of student success outcomes. While we encourage instructors to engage in scholarly activities, we expect them to fully utilize the feedback that they receive through their annual evaluation process to improve their overall effectiveness. Applicants for instructor positions should have a related doctoral degree, or a Masters’ degree combined with significant relevant post-secondary education teaching and/or directly relevant work experience. Additional industry experience and/or professional certification will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
