Our Colleges have established a number of internal departments that are vital to their effective and efficient operations. A brief description of these departments is provided below.
Academic Programs oversees the administration of our certificate and diploma programs and is responsible for: academic program planning; academic policy development, review and revision; new program design and development; program review, revision and discontinuation; instructor recruitment, evaluation and professional development; program accreditation and certification initiatives; and, academic program self-study. The Department is also responsible for development and delivery of online program and course offerings. Academic Programs also plays a vital role in establishing partnership and articulation agreements.

The Admissions and Recruiting department works actively to build and enhance our brand and profile, thereby contributing to the achievement of our strategic objectives. The Admissions and Recruitment team works closely with departments and stakeholders to achieve its recruitment objectives. The Admissions and Recruitment Department is our lead contact for international agents with respect to student recruitment initiatives, and accordingly, is responsible for establishing enrollment targets and budgets that are required to achieve approved student recruitment objectives.

The Executive is responsible for managing, administrating and controlling the business and related affairs of our Colleges; ensuring effective and efficient administration of operations and departments. In addition to delegating responsibility for achieving both organizational and operational objectives, the Executive is responsible for enabling the success of our Colleges by approving our Vision, Mission and Values statements; the strategic, academic, operational and facilities plans; policies; executive, administrator, instructor and staff hires; student recruitment; program budgets, tuition and other fees.

Financial Services is responsible for collecting and recording revenues, paying employees and vendors, reporting on financial matters to our management, and, controlling and safeguarding our College finances. This includes payroll administration, tax filing, preparing financial statements, inventory control (textbooks), group benefits management, planning and budgeting, and, developing financial policies and procedures.

Human Resources supports senior leadership’s efforts to achieve our Mission and Strategic Objectives through the development and implementation of organizational processes designed to support, motivate, and engage employees. Human Resources provides services related to compensation (i.e. Employee Benefits, Compensation, HR Information Systems); tracking employee holidays and leaves, occupational health and safety; employee wellness; and disability management. Human Resources also works on Employee Orientation, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives as well as Human Rights and Harassment programs and services.
Our Information and IT department offers a wide range of services and related applications to support teaching, learning and business operations. Services include instructor onboarding, use of email, phones, printers, audio/visual equipment, as well as provision of a range of technical services for students, instructors and staff. In addition, the department manages our student information systems ensuring 24/7 access by students, instructors and staff. The department also provides services related to our website which serves our colleges and is a key contributor to IT-Strategy, technical and information analysis and quality assurance services.

The Learning Resource Centre is to promote student success and equity by providing access to space and resources needed to complete studies and support the curriculum and information needs of the college community. The College can benefit from the special importance placed on supplying print and online resources essential to meeting the requirements of research support, professional development, and higher learning objectives.

The Registrar’s Office is responsible for administration, admissions, records and registration, academic scheduling, front desk service and support, student information and registration systems, information and records security, enrollment data management, student awards and scholarships, financial aid, co-op and practicum program administration and graduation. The administration team within the Registrar’s Office supports these activities and provides financial management, information management, and, special event management support as required.

The Student Services Department provides students with direction, support and advice designed to assist students achieve their academic goals. Student Services provides academic advising and assists students in making changes to their programs. Student Services also works with the Registrar’s Office in facilitating Student Orientations, workshops and seminars, and assists students with student life initiatives to ensure a positive student learning and college experience.
