Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing with Co-op: 45 Credits, 60 Weeks
The Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing (PGDDM) program is designed to provide students with relevant global industry validated digital marketing content as well as innovative courses that lead to a globally-recognized, professional industry certification. Vancouver Premier College, in partnership with the Digital Marketing Institute, is pleased to offer this innovative Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing in British Columbia for the first time.
Through dynamic content modules that are designed to enhance and accelerate learning through the combination of creative video presentations, proven industry practice and learning exercises, students are provided with a unique learning experience that will enable them to acquire and demonstrate a strong foundation in digital marketing. The content modules are designed to cover the main concepts, techniques and skills that are required to develop, plan and implement an effective and successful digital marketing strategy. In addition, students will be provided with access to digital marketing resources that both complement and enhance the skill-development oriented content modules which, in turn, enable students to accelerate their learning and understanding of the concepts being demonstrated by leading digital marketing practitioners.
In addition, students will be further supported with the most recent academic and industry validated research in digital marketing inclusive of short essential skills programs, and, will have access to a global network of like-minded digital marketing students and professionals studying and working in this growing and constantly evolving global field.
The PGDDM is designed for students who have already successfully completed an academic credential, such as a diploma and/or degree, but have decided to acquire new technical knowledge and in-demand skills as a means of changing the trajectory of their career or academic studies. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be qualified to write the DMI certification exam required to become a Certified Digital Marketing Professional, a global certification that is internationally recognized as the gold standard for digital marketing by accrediting authorities.
The PGDDM will provide access to quality post-graduate education programming for students from both local and international destinations and will enable students to study in VPC’s supportive multi-cultural learning environment. This program will enable students to develop the essential skills necessary to succeed in the global digital marketing field while also equipping them with both the knowledge and skills required to transition their careers and academic studies, and/or, to improve both their current and future employment prospects. The significant impact of DMI’s certification on its membership speaks to the value of the certification as it directly relates to employability with 95% of DMI’s certified members employed; 81% of their certified members having been promoted after they earned their certification; and, 88% are currently working at a senior or management level within their respective organizations.
1. Completion of a degree, diploma, or, equivalent level of post-secondary education from a recognized institution.
2. Be at least 19 years of age
3. Provide proof of English proficiency:
> Grade 12 or higher-level English course.
> High School English 12: C (or equivalent) from an English speaking country.
> University or College level English course (non‐ESL): C from an institution where English is the language of instruction.
English Language Test (only valid for two years):
> TOEFL: 68 iBT (with no individual score less than 16), 190 CBT, or 520 PBT
> IELTS: Academic version 6 (with no band test score less than 5.5)
> Cambridge International Exam: GCE O level C
> TOEIC: 700
> LPI: 4
> VPC English Proficiency Exam: 75%
> Completion of VPC ENGL 099
> Completion of AEL/ESL to an equivalent level
> Completion of at least 12 credits from a post secondary institution in Canada or where English is the principal language of the country and the language of instruction.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing is a 10 course, 600 hour, 30 credit program that can be completed in 30 weeks via in-class and/or online instruction which enables students to complete the course content and related requirements in the most efficient and effective manner possible. The 10 course PGDDM program is efficiently delivered over the course of two semesters.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing with Co-op is a 10 course, 1,200 hour, 45 credit program that can be completed in either four semesters or on an accelerated basis in accordance with student needs and/or preference. The accelerated schedule consists of 30 weeks in a co-op placement. This flexible but pragmatic approach enables students to acquire needed industry skills while also gaining experience in their chosen career or field of employment with a real business or organization.
To graduate from this program, students must complete all program requirements including those identified below:
– Academic Performance – Minimum 2.50 AGPA
– Each Individual Course – 50% (Pass)
– Attendance – Minimum 75%
Upon completion of this program the successful student will have reliably demonstrated the ability to:
• Write and communicate effectively for both academic and career entry and advancement purposes.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of the relationship that exists between digital marketing and digital media.
• Increase a website’s visibility through search engine optimization techniques;
• Drive qualified traffic to your website through pay-per-click advertising.
• Execute digital display campaigns.
• Capture, segment and mange email subscribers in order to plan and execute a successful email marketing campaign.
• Use suitable social media channels for different business goals and objectives.
• Measure and optimize your social media campaigns.
• Leverage mobile marketing for its micro-targeting advantages.
• Analyze and optimize your overall digital marketing activity.
• Create a formal digital marketing plan for your business.
